Burne wins individual title; #Seawolves race to top three finishes at AE Championships

Women second, men third at conference championship meet

2003-04: Started the season by finishing first at the Seawolves Invitational with a time of 18:51.7 . . . won her second individual title of the season in the Monmouth University Invitational in a time of 18:03.4 . . . ran a time of 18:03.1 to become the first athlete in Stony Brook history to win an individual title at the MET Championships . . . captured her fourth consecutive victory this season with a win at the Albany Invitational in a time of 17:36, setting a new record for the 5k course . . . at the America East Cross Country Championships finished in first place with a time of 17:31, this time tied for the sixth best in the 15-year history of the championships . . . earned America East Athlete of the Week Honors (11/3) . . . earned All-Northeast Region honors after finishing 16th overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional, in a time of 21:44 for the 6k course . . . named to America East Fall Honor Roll.

2002-03: Opened the season with a third-place finish in the 5K at the Stony Brook Invitational with a time of 19:54 . . . also finished third with a time of 18:05.7 in the Seawolves' next meet at CCSU . . . placed fourth at the METS Championships with a time of 18:19.9 . . . placed seventh at the America East Championship with a time of 18:13 in the 5K . . . took 21st in 21:48.8 at the NCAA regional meet . . . finished seventh in 18:17.6 at the ECAC Championships.

1998-2000: All-American for Suffolk Community College . . . won at nationals two straight years.

High School: Named team MVP all four years . . . also received Coach's Award all four years . . . placed third at the spring state championships.
