Stony Brook, N.Y. - Mubaarak Muhammad was named the Stony Brook Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance over the weekend at the Fordham Invitational Meet. Muhammad claimed the individual title in the triple-jump, as the Stony Brook track and field team performed well in its first meet.

On the men's side Muhammad earned the one of only two individuals for Stony Brook. Muhammad won the triple jump with a distance of 43'5" and rounded out his solid day in the field events with a sixth place finish in the long jump (20'3 ½").

For the track events, Muhammad claimed fifth (52.4) in the 400 meter as well.

The Seawolves return to action on December 8 when they return to Fordham for another quad meet.
