Indianapolis, Ind. - Stony Brook's men's cross country and track & field programs recently were honored by the NCAA for earning Public Recognition Awards, based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate.

These awards are given each year to teams with APRs in the top 10 in each sport.

Under the direction of head coach Andy Ronan, each of his three programs had APRs ranging from 978 to a perfect 1,000. A total of 954 Division I teams were honored by the NCAA.

Cross Country, indoor and outdoor track earned the honor for a second straight year.
