#Seawolves set to hold Wolfie Invitational

Stony Brook, N.Y. – This Stony Brook men’s and women’s track and field programs will host the Wolfie Invitational Saturday. The field events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the running events starting at 11 a.m.
Admission is free and open to the public. Fans should park in the Gym Road Lot.
New Hampshire, St. Peter's, Fordham and Marist will send men’s and women’s teams and the Southern Connecticut women’s team will participate.
The Seawolves most recently won a pair of field events at the Friar Invitational hosted by Providence College last weekend. Sophomore Karolina Blaszcynska won the women's high jump on a 1.42-meter leap, and freshman Jarrett Button placed first in the men's long jump at 6.30-meters.
Senior Olivia Burne has already qualified for the ECACs in the women’s 1,500-meters, the event she won at the America East Championships in May 2013. The standout and indoor track USTFCCCA All-American claimed top honors in the women’s 1,500-meter run April 4 at the Colonial Relays.
The same day, sophomore Christina Melian posted an ECAC-qualifying time of 16:34.35 in the women’s 3,000-meters.
Stony Brook will head to the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. April 25-26.
