Princeton, N.J. - Freshman Christina Melian capped of what has been a tremendous freshman year by winning the ECAC crown in the women's 3000-meter in 9:48.97 Sunday at Princeton University. She held off Cornell freshman Caroline Kellner by .71 seconds for the championship win.

In the Virgina Challenge, Olivia Burne notched a season-best performance of 4:22.90 in the women's 1500-meter to put herself in strong position to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships. The full field will be announced on Thursday.
