Philadelphia, Pa. –The Stony Brook men’s track and field sprint relay squad consisting of Terry Martin, Stephen Reilly, Adam Jacobs and Matt Granata made history on day two of the prestigious Penn Relays.

The four Seawolves ran the event in 3:31.15 to top a 20-year-old school record. The team finished sixth overall in the event. A sprint medley relay begins with two, 200-meter sprints and is followed by a 400-meter and 800-meter sprint, respectively.

Daniel Denis, Robert Taylor, Bradley Amazan and Tyer Frigge finished eighth in the second section of the collegiate men’s distance medley relay, clocking in at 10:09.06.

The success comes on the heels of a strong opening day at the relays for Stony Brook, in which Christina Melian and Annie Keown hit ECAC qualifiers in the women’s 3000 and 5000, respectively.

Stony Brook next competes in the Yale Invite Sunday, April 28.
