Seawolves run successful Larry Ellis Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - Sophomore Eric Speakman (Napier, New Zealand) ran a school record 3:47.25 in the 1,500m at the Larry Ellis invitational hosted by Princeton University. This was a personal best, which gives him a good chance of qualifying for the NCAA Regional Championships at the end of May. It is also an IC4A qualifying performance.
Sophomore Olivia Burne (Palmerston North, New Zealand) also opened her outdoor season in the 1,500, with a personal-best run of 4:25.49. She also is in contention for a regional championship spot. Her time is an ECAC qualifying mark.
Senior Mary O'Connor (Waterford, Ireland) had a very solid run in the 800m, finishing third in 2.11.56, missing an ECAC qualifying time by .62 of a second.
Junior Lorraine McCarthy (Waterford, Ireland) had a personal-best of 4:35.96 in the 1500m, winning her section.
Next up for the Seawolves is the prestigious Penn Relays on April 26-29.
