Boston, Mass. - Two school records were broken and the women's distance medley relay was victorious on day one of the America East Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Freshman Terry Martin (Bloomingburg, N.Y.) posted an 8.34 in the 60m hurdles and freshman Lamar Hayes (Voorhees, N.J.) recorded a 21.99 in the 200m dash.

Hayes' time was tops in his heat and an IC4A time.

The women's DMR, consisting of senior Lucy Van Dalen (Wanganui, New Zealand), sophomore Katie Manzi (Swan Lake, N.Y.), sophomore Olivia Burne (Palmerston North, New Zealand) and junior Annie Keown (Auckland, New Zealand), took first in an ECAC qualifying time of 11:45.67.

The men's DMR, made up of sophomore Eric Speakman (Napier, New Zealand), sophomore Robert Taylor (Jamaica, N.Y.), senior Shamell Forbes (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) and sophomore Daniel Denis (Bayport, N.Y.), took third in an IC4A qualifying time of 9:59.54.

Joining Martin and Hayes in qualifying for Saturday's finals were senior LaQuashia Hall (New York, N.Y.) in the 500m dash and sophomore Matt Granata (Levittown, N.Y.) in the 500m dash.
