#Seawolves Fans,

College Hoops season is here, and the #Seawolves men's & women's teams had a successful 2013-14 debut at home last Friday as the women knocked off NJIT and the men defeated Marist. Be sure to get your tickets to games this season by calling (631) 632-WOLF.

For fans coming to Wednesday's men's game vs. Northeastern, Stony Brook Athletics is collecting non-perishable food for its annual food drive that will benefit the Stony Brook Food Pantry. 

Men's basketball goes 2-0 on the weekend
The #Seawolves picked up right where they left off at home with victories over Marist and Haverford last weekend, extending their home winning streak to 12 games. Stony Brook is now 26-1 at Pritchard Gymnasium over the last two years. The #Seawolves will look to extend the winning streak to 13 on Wednesday vs. Northeastern.

Women's hoops wins at home; loses on the road
The #Seawolves tipped off Friday evening and produced a come-from-behind win over NJIT, led by Sabre Proctor's 18 points, in front of a sold-out crowd. The women were unable to produce the same results at Navy on Sunday, falling 72-54. Read the NJIT recap, the Navy recapand watch highlights of the home opener below:

Football battles hard, falls to Richmond late
On the gridiron, the #Seawolves had a 10-point, second-half lead at home against Richmond, but the Spiders came back behind their quarterback's five touchdown passes and ultimately came away with a 39-31 win. James Kenner had three touchdowns for the #Seawolves, who will play at James Madison this Saturday live on SNY. Read the game recap hereand watch the highlights below:

Women's soccer comes up short in championship bid

The #Seawolves were going for back-to-back America East Championship titles, but their bid fell short as UMBC scored twice after Stony Brook had gone up 1-0 to complete a 2-1 victory. Larissa Nysch, Ashley Castanio and Ahriel Fernandez were all named to the All-Tournament team. Despite falling short, the #Seawolves still finished the season 11-6-2 and won a share of the regular season championship. Read the title game recap here.

Volleyball splits, closes in on playoff berth

The #Seawolves played a pair of 3-0 sweeps last weekend, beating UMass Lowell on Friday, but falling to New Hampshire on Sunday. Stony Brook now is 8-4 in America East with two matches remaining in the regular season. Just one win next weekend will clinch a spot in the America East Championship.
