Caridi tabbed preseason All-America

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The anchor of a defensive unit that broke an NCAA Division I record for scoring defense in 2013, senior goalie Frankie Caridi of the Stony Brook women's lacrosse team has been named a preseason All-American by Caridi, who placed on the second team, is the second Seawolf to be selected preseason All-America, as attacker Claire Petersen was named to the third team last year.

The East Northport, N.Y., native was dominant in net during Stony Brook's historic 2013 season that saw the team crack the top 10 in both major national polls, capture its first conference crown and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
